Compact Capacitive Limit Switch
VEGAPOINT 21 is a cost-effective level switch for detecting water-based liquids. The user can choose a universal interface for hygienic adapters, which saves installation costs and reduces spare parts inventory while meeting the requirements of hygienic processes in the food, beverage processing and pharmaceutical industries. The instrument can be used without calibration and is equipped with IO-Link function for smooth digital information transmission.

Function
An alternating electric field is generated at the tip of the measuring electrode. If the sensor is covered by a medium, the capacitance of the sensor changes. The electronics detect this change and convert it into a switching command.
Material
The instrument parts in contact with the medium are made of PEEK and stainless steel 316L. The process seal is made of FKM.
Shell selection
The housing is made of 316L or Valox, with protection grade of IP66/IP67 and up to IP69.
