Saimo | PLR-10 Anti-Bias Switch

A belt misalignment switch is a sensing element that detects the amount of belt misalignment on a conveyor belt. It can send signals based on the belt misalignment status to automatically alarm and stop the machine, preventing belt damage and further misalignment.

When the belt deviates from its designated path, the belt pushes the actuator arm to rotate, triggering a microswitch and issuing an alarm signal. If the belt continues to deviate to the set stopping position, it will trigger another set of contacts, causing the conveyor to stop protectively.
Anti-deviation switches are typically installed 0.3-2m from the head or tail of the conveyor, usually in pairs on both sides. They can be fixed to the top or bottom of the conveyor’s longitudinal beams, with the actuator arm approximately 25-75mm from the edge of the belt.

The actuator rod can move in both directions, making it easy to install symmetrically on both sides of the conveyor.

The standard setting for the anti-deviation switch is that the alarm contact activates when the normal angle is 10 degrees, and the stop contact activates when the normal angle is 20 degrees.
