The online density meter for flue gas desulfurization in power plants can measure the density of various liquids or liquid mixtures in real time. Density can be used to reflect the condition of the on-site medium in real time. As customers become more familiar with this product, online density meters have begun to be used in a variety of situations.
1. Overview
With the rapid development of industrial automation, traditional methods of measuring liquid density by sampling are no longer sufficient for production needs . This is why online density meters for flue gas desulfurization in power plants have emerged. Among various methods for online liquid density measurement, the static pressure method is the most feasible. Research began in foreign countries in the 1970s.
However, domestic progress was limited due to the lack of high-precision and stable pressure sensors. In recent years, a large number of high-quality pressure sensors have entered China, providing a reliable foundation for the development of online density meters.
The RY-DFB intelligent online liquid density transmitter was designed and developed based on the principles of simplicity and practicality, after summarizing various online density measurement methods and conducting extensive field research in industrial settings.
The transmitter consists of a capacitive differential pressure sensor connected to a pair of pressure relays inserted into the production process. An integrated precision temperature sensor between the two pressure relays displays liquid temperature changes and provides a basis for temperature compensation of the density display. Density is calculated using software. The transmitter can simultaneously read both temperature and density, facilitating industry standard density conversion.

3. Product Application
It can perform online density measurement on various liquids or liquid mixtures, and continuously monitor changes in liquid density during the production process, thereby ensuring product quality and the consistency of each batch of products. Therefore, it can be widely used in the petrochemical industry for monitoring the oil-water interface in oil refining and blending; in the food industry, such as the dairy industry, honey, grape method, tomato juice, fructose syrup, vegetable oil soft drink processing, etc., for online detection of liquid concentration; in biopharmaceuticals, traditional Chinese medicine concentration and extraction processes, etc., for online detection of liquid density, thereby ensuring the quality of drugs. In the papermaking industry, it can be used to test black pulp, green pulp, white pulp, and alkaline solutions; the alcohol content of wine; the density of organic solvents in the chemical industry, urea detergent, ethylene glycol acid and alkali, and polymers. This meter can also be used for on-site density monitoring in mining brine, potash, lubricating oil and other fields.
