UGS X49H Dual-Color Level Gauge

I. Overview

X49H and YZ quartz tube level gauges are disposable instruments that directly display the liquid level using optical and communicating vessel principles. They are widely used in medium and low-pressure boiler drums and storage tanks. Based on the display method, they can be divided into single-color and dual-color types: single-color level gauges directly display the color of the medium; dual-color level gauges display the water phase as green and the vapor phase as red, with the red-green interface indicating the liquid level. These level gauges also have advantages such as simple structure, convenient maintenance, and safety and reliability.

II. Structural Principle:
The water level gauge consists of an upper valve (steam valve), a lower valve (water valve), a gauge body, a drain valve, and a balance pipe. In addition to manual full opening and full closing, the upper and lower valves are equipped with a safety seat and a safety ball inside the valve body. When the quartz tube is accidentally damaged, the safety ball, under the impact of high-pressure steam and water, pushes against the safety seat at high speed, automatically closing the upper and lower channels of the gauge body until the upper and lower valves are manually closed.

III. Installation and Maintenance:
1. Quartz tube level gauges are precision instruments. Handle with care during transportation, handling, unpacking, and installation. Avoid collisions and impacts to prevent damage to the quartz glass tube and the red and green glass.
2. Quartz tube level gauges have undergone pressure testing and dual-color effect calibration before leaving the factory. Users only need to connect and tighten the upper and lower flanges of the level gauge to the flange of the container being measured before use.
3. If scale builds up inside the quartz tube during operation, resulting in a mixture of red and green colors, clean the quartz tube with an acidic solution first, then rinse it thoroughly with clean water.
4. To replace the quartz tube, loosen the nuts at both ends of the gauge body, remove the quartz tube, replace it with a new tube, and tighten the nuts at both ends. The inner hole is square; during installation, one corner must be aligned with the observation surface.
