The EPMAX II controller is a microprocessor controller that controls the power supply characteristics of the electrostatic precipitator transformer. The EPMAX III controller keeps the spark rate moderate for various flue gas temperatures, dust components, flue gas flow, etc., and at the same time uses the adjustment of the secondary current and the charging ratio to make the electrical system of the precipitator run at the best state, thereby improving the dust removal effect of the electrostatic precipitator and reducing the power consumption of the electrostatic precipitator. It controls the rectifier in the following ways: the secondary voltage and current of the precipitator plate change as the spark conditions change; the charging ratio and charging current of the transformer are selected by the controller running the optimization software ROQ in real time to optimize the electrical operating parameters of the electrostatic precipitator. The operating parameters of the electrostatic precipitator can be monitored throughout the operation process through the electrostatic precipitator process computer monitoring system or the power plant’s distributed control system.

The EPMAX II controller contains only one circuit board, which has all the functions required to complete the controller. The EPMAX III controller has 8 sets of built-in logic timers and 3 sets of I /O contacts for controlling the vibration motor, and 2 outputs for heating control. Each EPMAX III controller also has multiple switch inputs for alarm processing, 3 4-20mA analog temperature signal acquisition, and 1 4-20mA analog turbidity signal acquisition. The EPMAX II controller is a truly digital electrostatic precipitator power controller.

The EPMAX III controller has a unique advantage, which is to integrate the control of the thyristor in the high-voltage part and the control of the rapper in the low-voltage part into the same controller to achieve the voltage controlled rapper (VCR) function.
