A. Short telescopic sootblower nozzle:

1. The sootblowing gun of the short telescopic sootblower has threads on its surface, also known as a threaded pipe. It is both a sootblowing gun and an important transmission part.

A packing chamber is welded at the rear end of the threaded pipe for loading packing and sealing between the sootblowing gun and the inner pipe. An internal thread is processed at the front end for connection with the nozzle.

The nozzle of HXY (IR-3) soot blower is a standard part with a nozzle tilted 30 degrees backward and a diameter of 25.4mm. The tail of the nozzle is threaded, and the length of the nozzle screwed into the threaded pipe can be adjusted according to the thickness of the furnace wall.

2. Adjustment of the front and rear position of the nozzle

When the soot blower blows soot, the distance from the nozzle center to the fire surface of the water wall is 40 mm. This dimension is very important and must be accurate during installation. However, after the boiler has been running for a period of time, due to deformation of the water wall or other reasons, this dimension of some soot blowers may change and it is necessary to adjust it.

When the sootblower leaves the factory, the nozzle is set at an adjustable midpoint position, with an adjustment range of 13 mm for both extension and retraction. The adjustment principle here is: the cam of the control valve is fixed to the flange at the rear end of the stud tube by two studs. By adjusting the distance between the cam and the rear end flange of the threaded tube, the extension length of the threaded tube is changed, and the front and rear position of the nozzle is adjusted. The closer the cam is to the rear end flange, the more the nozzle extends.

Short telescopic sootblower is mainly used for sootblowing of water-cooled walls of furnaces such as IR-3D, IR-3Z, V04, V92, HXD-5, and L703.

B. Long telescopic sootblower nozzle:

The front end of the sootblowing gun is a nozzle with a spun head. There are holes drilled on the nozzle to weld the nozzle. Whether the nozzle is vertical, forward or backward depends on the sootblowing requirements. The size and number of nozzles are determined by the sootblowing medium flow and pressure requirements of sootblower in different positions. The welding of nozzles is very important. The nozzle has been tested for balance in the factory to ensure that the radial thrust is equal when the medium is sprayed in two directions, so as to prevent the barrel from shaking.
