Product Introduction:

The DB-100 tear switch provides an alarm signal or shuts down the conveyor when the belt is torn, punctured, damaged at the junction, or a sharp object protrudes from the belt. The tear switches are installed in pairs on both sides, connected by two sections of aviation-grade steel wire rope with an ethylene sheath. One end of the rope is fixed to a support bracket, and the other end is connected to the pull ring of the tear switch. The two ropes form a closed loop under the belt. When an object or a torn section of the belt hangs down and sweeps down one or both ropes, the fault is detected. Under the force of the ropes, the pull ring is pulled outwards, causing the self-locking handle to spring upwards. At this time, two microswitches inside the machine sound an alarm or shut down the conveyor. After the fault is cleared, pressing the self-locking handle down resets the camshaft inside the machine, ready to restart.

Scope of application:

 Installation and debugging: 

▲ The tear switch is installed between the buffer rollers under the conveyor belt in the receiving section. The mounting bracket and tear switch are installed on the bracket. The pull ring of the tear switch should be at the same height as the edge of the conveyor belt. If the height is not high enough, shims or channel steel can be added under the bracket. After measuring the height, the bracket and support are welded firmly. 

▲ Attach the safety cable, thread one end through the pull ring of the tear switch and secure it with the cable hook, and thread the other end through the round hole in the middle of the tear switch bracket for later use. After installing the two tear switches and attaching the two safety cables, fasten the two safety cables together at a 30-degree bend. 

▲ Tighten the cable in the middle hole of both supports and then fasten the cable buckle. 

▲ The tension of the safety rope should generally be such that a force of 0.9 kg is sufficient to trigger the switch.
